Parents, Schools, Heads and the Education Sector need to be up in arms on ideological posturing to disrupt the sector

It is time for a representative group of Heads from across the education sector – MATS, Private Schools, Free Schools, Comprehensives, Grammar etc etc to unite and form a steering group which achieves two things:
Firstly, a rigorous approach to assessing all schools on how they actively pursue EID within their communities with appropriate targets set on how many students on pupils premium and free school meals they support through full-time education. Grammar Schools like private schools and comprehensives in wealthier communities can be the preserve of the slightly better off – this needs addressing
Secondly, regionally representative cross sector steering groups should be established to assess the operational costs and benefits of the currently proposed disruption. Regional steering groups need to report into the DFE and a central cross sector steering group of Heads.
#headsupinarms and #schoolsupinarms need to take the lead from #parentsupinarms
We need ideology to take a back seat and the education sector to drive forwards its democratic and charitable responsibilities to cope with the growing Inclusivity, Equality and Diversity issues
Too many heads are representing their opinions in isolation. The snapshot of the links and articles in this post are illustrative of this.
It is a united education sector that needs to address IED and the charitable purposes of education. If it does not the proposed disruption will undermine the very IED and achievement that we wish to sustain and improve upon in the interests of those who richly deserve transformative opportunities.
The education sector has the power to transform lives
